"Making and keeping covenants means choosing to bind ourselves to our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ." -Linda K. Burton

The gift is something binding--like dollar store rope.

October 2012

"Find strength and blessings in keeping temple covenants."

The recent temple dedication made me think of white handkerchiefs to represent the temple.

"Let us be worthy to have a current temple recommend. Let us go to the temple to seal our families eternally. Let us return to the temple as often as our circumstances will permit. . . . Let us enjoy the spiritual strength and the revelation we receive as we attend the temple regularly."
--Silvia H. Allred

I struggled to think of something for this one.  Tried to find a way to print bookmarks with a picture of the temple (one my mom took), but they were too expensive.  Same with magnets.  I finally settled on getting a handkerchief from the Distribution Center.

July 2009

My mom is a professional photographer and I love this picture she took of the Salt Lake temple. I got 4"x6" copies printed, as well as a 4"x6" printout of the lyrics to Michael McLean's As I Am. I got a double frame from Wal-Mart and put one in each side.

I got the idea while driving home from work one day. My book on CD ended and I didn't have another one, so I got out my trusty selection of Michael McLean. This song started to play and I knew that I wanted to use it. I sometimes feel overwhelmed when I go to the temple, but this song inspires me and reminds me that God loves me and wants me to serve in the temple.
